WE are organising a tridum in honour of St. Joseph as part of the year of faith. The tridium is for 3 days, Monday April 29th, Tuesday 30th and Wednesday May 1st (St Joseph the worker Feast day) with masses at 10 am and 7.30 in St Joseph’s Church Carrickmacross. Petitions and candles for intentions will be available at the masses. Guest speakers will be at all masses. All Welcome.

Killanny GFC are participating in a World Record attempt to hold the greatest number of competitors at any one time in a 3 legged race. The Carrickmacross Unit of the Irish Red Cross are holding an information evening on the 22nd April in the Shirley Arms Hotel at 8pm. Everyone welcome from surrounding communities from 17 years of age upwards. No experience is necessary, we will provide the training and support that you require from Practical First Aid to caring for the sick and elderly.
KILLANNY’S Ultan Drama Circle presents Mary Halpin’s Semi Private on Thursday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of May in the new function room in The Riverbank in Killanny Carrickmacross. The show starts nightly at 8 o’clock and admission €10.00 is payable at the door. This is a comedy although it contains adult themes.
DEERY’S hosting Alzheimer’s Tea Day on 9th May from 10.30am to 2pm in Deery’s Function Room, Main Street, Carrickmacross. Fundraiser for Threemilehouse Day Care Centre, to maintain service three days a week. Family Afternoon At 3pm next Sunday, 28th April, Carrickmacross Workhouse is holding a Family Afternoon to commemorate the 38 orphan girls sent to Australia in 1849. Australian Ambassador will attend, with local Artists and Crafts, including Carrickmacross Lace, displaying their work and giving demonstrations. 1-hour film of a Carrick Fair Day in 1999 will be shown, featuring lots of local faces! Refreshments will be served, and children are especially welcome.

TABLE TENNIS Best wishes to our table tennis team who take part in the Ulster Finals this weekend.
U10 Mixed Gaelic: Killanny played their first game last Monday week in Inniskeen although our team tried very hard Inniskeen were the stronger team on the night. We also played Donaghmoyne on Saturday last,our team played a great game but with Dongahmoyne eventually winning out.
U12 Girls football: We played Donaghmoyne on Monday night our girls played a great game which lead to a victorious win.
Boys U 16 Pitch n Putt: Congratulations to the following team who came third in the Monaghan competition great achievement for their first time entering; Conor Finnegan, Oisin Gartlan, Aaron Morris, Tiernan O Brien & Ciaran O Reilly and thank you to their manager Aine Finnegan for all her help with this competition.
PARTY on Sunday 26th of May. We will start Mass at 3pm, after which a full meal will be served. The meal will be followed by bingo and music. A church gate collection will be held on Sat 11th and Sun 12th of May. Next meeting Tuesday 23rd of April at 8pm.

Great Stonetown Charity Run and Walk
The Great Stonetown Charity Run and Walk organising committee are organising a 5k and 10k charity run and walk for Sunday the 19th of May in Stonetown. All proceeds will go to The Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, The Neonatal Unit in the Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and The Palliative Care Units in Carrickmacross and Ardee.
