Quay Celtic won all three points on Saturday morning in the U11 Premier Division but they were pushed all the way by a gallant Rock Celtic in an entertaining game played in Clancy Park.
Lots of creativity, brilliant skill and brave tackling littered the pitch for the entirety of the clash, with the home side eventually running out 2-1 winners.
The game was level 1-1 at the break with Mark Leavy putting Rock Celtic in front and Scott Hearty equalising for Quay.
The two teams went all out attack but were frustrated by goalkeepers Daniel Shields of Quay and Niall Brennan of the Rock who were superb throughout, as they both stood bravely in their goals, not shying away from a single shot.
The Point Road lads shaded the second-half and Conall Savage was unlucky to see his shot crash off the post but the same player scored the winner with just seven minutes left after terrific play from Nathan Quinn and Morgan Tobin.
Rock battled back and Evan Durnin skipped by a couple of Quay defenders on the left but he dragged his shot inches wide of the Quay net. Both sides had chances thereafter but Quay held on in the end.
