Quay Celtic had a convincing win over Redeemer on Wednesday evening under the Clancy Park floodlights in the U14 Premier Division as they hit five goals without reply in a clinical performance.

The home side were full value for their victory, Thomas Daly scored twice and Joshua Ayour, Terence Kelly and Kian McEvoy all found the target.

Redeemer battled bravely throughout, they got stuck in, worked hard and showed a lot of pride in the jersey with Chealom McCrave, Jason Tuite and Stefan Wesley shining throughout for their efforts on the night.

Tuite threatened twice in the early stages for Redeemer but they were rocked back on their heels however when the home side opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Thomas Daly’s crisp low shot found the back of the net to put his side on front.

Joshua Ayour added a second Quay goal in the 24th minute with a tidy finish and on the stroke of half time, Daly managed his second of the game to send his side in with a well deserved 3-0 lead at the interval.

The task now looked to be a hopeless one for Redeemer and so it proved to be but they plugged on to their credit, never letting their heads drop and battled until the full time whistle.

However, the excellent Quay outfit were not finished with their scoring for the evening and added two more in the second half with Terence Kelly and Kian McEvoy completing the scoring for the home side.
