Rock Celtic maintained their perfect start to the U14 Premier Division with their third victory in a row giving them maximum points and lifting them three points lead at the top of the table.

A well struck free kick from James Prendergast put the home side 1-0 in front in the 5th minute but the visitors were level within four minutes.

Aidan Curtain’s free kick from near the touchline was headed home by Kizito Ekwueme make it 1-1.

The home side struggled to contain the Rock Celtic striker who was involved in every attacking move and it was no surprise when Rock went 1-2 in front in the 18th minute when Ekwueme’s shot was blocked by Savage but Aidan Curtain rolled the rebound into the empty net.

Quay Celtic did provide hope of a recovery in the 25th minute when Ben Kapinga’s free-kick was headed home by Melvin Onu but Kizito Ekwueme soon restored Rock’s two goal advantage when he beat the Quay’s offside trap to make it 2-3 on 27 minutes as Rock Celtic regained control through the excellent play of Liam O’Callaghan and Aidan Curtain.

The Blackrock side extended their lead before the break when Oisin Meegan’s left footed drive found the corner of the net. Liam O’Callaghan scored in the first minute of the second half to make it 2-5, ending any chance of a recovery by the Point Road side.

Oisin Meegan added two in the next ten minutes as Rock Celtic completely dominated.
