Rampart Celtic held their own in as first-half which Muirhevnamor had most of the possession but gave away two soft goals.

A simple header in the six-yard box by Chris Caulfield and a free-kick from Mickey O’Kane which evaded everybody to slip into the net gave the visitors a 2-0 lead after half an hour.

Aidan McGuinness steered a low effort past Michael Cooney just before the break to keep Rampart in the game.

A disastrous five minute spell on the hour mark undone Rampart as O’Kane hit two quick-fire goals in a minute, followed by a spectacular 30-yard strike by Gary Clarke.

Three minutes later and Thomas Woods put Muirhevnamor 6-1 ahead before Sean Conlon added number seven.

The scoring was completed by McGuinness who notched a late consolation.

Caulfield’s game was cut short in the first-half when he had to retire with a head injury.

For Rampart Celtic, who had a man sent-off, this is a game they will want to forget in a hurry.
