Quay Celtic U12s picked up three well earned points after this comfortable 3-0 win over St Dominic’s at Clancy Park.
The home side attacked at every opportunity with Daniel Nordone and Alan O’Neill causing problems in the St Dominic’s defence and eventually the constant pressure took its toll as Oisin Breen broke the deadlock when he rolled a shot into the corner of the net in the 16th minute.
Dominic’s responded with a good effort from Rory Kirk but he was denied by the alert Conor O’Neill who produced a fine save.
Joly Bankole doubled the advantage for the home team before the break when he turned sharply in the St Dominic’s penalty area to fire past Jack McBride.
Quay had the majority of possession in the second-half but Jack McBride produced several terrific saves to deny efforts from Oisin Monaghan and Daniel Nordone.
The points were made safe in the 54th minute when Tiernan Watters was in the right place to hook home the rebound after Adam McSkean’s free-kick was palmed away by McBride.
