Quay Celtic goalkeeper Ronan Gaughran somehow managed to tip a super strike from Cian Myles around the post in the 8th minute and at the other end Conall Rooney in the Shamrocks nets produced a brilliant save to deny Ben Kapinga after good play from Conor Mackin.

Rooney also produced a good save early in the second-half when he was in the right place to save from Alan Carr.

The lively Rilwan Ibrahim created problems in the Quay Celtic defence and he set up James Clinton with a chance 14 minutes after the break but Clinton just couldn’t direct his shot on target.

Conor Mackin’s free-kick smashed off the top off the Shamrocks crossbar in the closing stages but Shamrocks were unlucky in the last minute with a Ryan Watters chance as both sides had to settle for a point each.
