Rock Celtic hammered bottom club OMP United 7-1 at Sandy Lane on Wednesday night with David Ward helping himself to a second-half hat-trick.
The league champions almost found themselves a goal behind on 15 minutes.
Michael Osobe pulled up injured - having to be replaced by the returning Ger McSorley - and the OMP left winger took the opportunity to test teenage goalkeeper Nathan Slowey with a stinging effort.
On 20 minutes the home side broke the deadlock when Ward set Derek Delany up to blast home the first goal from the edge of the penalty area and within two minutes Ward himself was denied when his effort struck the butt of an upright.
The veteran marksman soon put the home side two up with a clever finish.
OMP responded and they should have drawn level before the break when a delivery from the right wing found their centre-forward unmarked but from six-yards he headed wide of an open goal.
The first 20 minutes saw the game flow from end to end but three goals in five minutes ended the game as a contest.
Ward grabbed his second goal after his strike partner Delany set him up with a neat pass and inside two minutes he made it 3-0 from Paddy Quinn’s ball over the top.
Delany himself added the fourth goal with a fantastic piece of individual skill on the penalty spot that bamboozled the shellshocked Navan side’s defenders.
The league champions were in full flow and it was no surprise when Ward completed his hat-trick as he waltzed past three defenders at pace before he calmly rounding the stranded goalkeeper.
In a rare breakaway OMP managed a consolation goal but Kevin McArdle had the final say for the Seasiders as he fired home the final goal from an acute angle.
