Longford Town or Waterford United will face the Lilywhites over the two legs for a place in next season’s Premier Division and Setanta Sports have confirmed they will televise the first leg of the Promotion-Relegation play-off.

They also have the option to televise the second leg but will not make a decision until after the first leg has been played.

The two first Division sides begin their battle for the right to face Dundalk this Saturday at Flancare Park with the second leg at the RSC on Friday week, October 26.

The winners of the First Division play-off will then travel to Oriel Park on Tuesday, October 30, with the second leg taking place three days later on Friday, November 2.

First Division Play-Off

Saturday, October 20

First Leg: Longford Town v Waterford United, Flancare Park, 7.30pm.

Friday, October 26

Second Leg: Waterford United v Longford Town, RSC, 7.45pm.

Promotion-Relegation Play-Off

Tuesday, October 30

First Leg: Dundalk v Longford Town or Waterford United, Oriel Park, 7.45pm (Live on Setanta)

Friday, November 2

Second Leg: Longford Town or Waterford United v Dundalk at 7.45pm

In the event of the scores been level after the completion of the second leg match in both play-offs, then extra-time of 30 minutes duration shall be played. If the scores are still level, then a penalty shoot-out shall take place to determine the winners.
