THE Dundalk Schoolboys League U14 representative squad have been very busy of late preparing for next week’s Kennedy Cup tournament in Limerick.
The lads have been building up to the week long tournament since Christmas and they have played a number of friendly matches along the way, recording notable wins over the North Dublin League, the North East Counties League, and the Wexford League.
In their latest encounter in Bellew Park last Saturday, the Dundalk side ran out 4-1 winners against the the Midlands Schoolboys League with goals coming from Eoin McDonnell, Aaron Casey, Eolann Aiken and James Corrigan.
More impressive than the scoreline was the team performance on the day which saw Dundalk dominate throughout.
The squad demonstrated plenty of ability, spirit, and effort and if they keep this up they’ll be a match for anyone in Limerick.
We wish the lads all the best and hope that the Kennedy Cup is an experience that they’ll all enjoy and remember for years to come.
