The forthcoming Setanta Sports Cup tie against Linfield on Monday 14 February will represent the first visit to Windsor Park for many Dundalk supporters.
As of yesterday (Tuesday) the ticket sales stood at around the 250 mark but more are expected to be sold in the coming days.
Dessie Woods of the Oriel Park Ticket Office said “It’s still early days, but already it is clear that the demand is very strong for the travel and ticket deal we have put together. I would not be surprised if the 750 allocation was actually sold out before the weekend”.
For the well being and safety of visiting supporters traveling to either match, the PSNI and Gardai have recommended an inclusive travel arrangement – match tickets for visiting supporters are available exclusively to those traveling on official supporter coaches arranged by the respective clubs. No match tickets will be available to visiting supporters at either ground on the match nights.

Season tickets 2011
Meanwhile with the opening Airtricity League game against Shamrock Rovers now a little over three weeks away, demand for Dundalk season tickets are currently running well ahead of last season.
A number of additional bonus elements in this year’s Season Tickets offers have helped to fuel early demand – with all season ticket holders enjoying a €5 Euro per person discount for home pre-season friendlies.
The first of these takes place against Monaghan United on Thursday quickly followed by another Oriel Park friendly the following Thursday, February 17 against Limerick FC. With a special restricted draw for a trip for two to the Champions League final – confined only to Patron Scheme and Season Ticket holders - there is a very real incentive to book.
Newly appointed Dundalk FC General Manager Paul Johnson said, “While Season Ticket sales are vitally important to the finances of the club, they also represent real value for money for supporters. The most popular category - Ground Adult at €170 Euro - works out at as little as €9.44 Euro per match.
The Family Packages are also very attractive with children prices as low as €40 Euro. The new SmartCard season ticket has been very well received by supporters, and a range of special offers and discounts with local retailers through the card will be coming on stream as an additional bonus as the season progresses”
Pre-season friendly Discounts
With the pre-season friendly admission prices announced at €10 adult and €5 child for all parts of the ground, Concession or Adult season ticket holders will only have to pay 5 Euro on production of their card, while child season ticket holders will have free admission. For those wishing to collect Season Tickets in advance of the match, collections can be made in the Oriel Park Ticket office up to 7.15pm (kick-off 7.45pm) and the ticket office will be open again after the match.
