Dundalk striker Patrick Hoban has expressed his delight at being picked to feature on the front cover of video game FIFA 2014.
Hoban will feature alongside Limerick’s Shane Treacy and Barcelona star Lionel Messi after finishing at the top of the poll, run by website extratime.ie.
And the Lilywhites top scorer was understandably delighted with the honour.
Speaking to extratime.ie, Hoban said: “ It’s unbelievable and a great honour for myself and for the club to have a player feature on the cover of FIFA 14,” stated Hoban tio extratime.ie.
“I play FIFA a lot myself. To be on the cover is a once in a lifetime opportunity, that’s how I see it.”
Hoban has become one of Dundalk’s key players as they bid for a league and cup double.
And the former Mervue United man puts Dundalk’s success this year down to manager Stephen Kenny’s approach.
“Everything is just like a professional setup. What he’s done is bring in very hungry players and mixed that with experience. His management is top class.”
