Dundalk happily announced a new sponsorship deal with Fyffes that will see them partner the club into the 2014 season.

“We are delighted to have Fyffes on board with us again,” said Dundalk chairman Ciaran Bond when announcing the extension. “While they are a global brand name, they are also widely associated with Dundalk for all they do with us and naturally we are very pleased to have stayed with them because they are very committed to this club and to seeing it continue to improve.”

Fyffes are also a prominent sponsor within local sport such as football and tennis but have always maintained a strong link with Dundalk and as a result will again be the official sponsor across the front of the club’s new look jerseys for the 2014 campaign.

“They are a commendable group of great stature and so to have a company like them on board with us is very pleasing for the club because they invest their money and time into Dundalk and put a great deal of effort into this club and indeed sport in general in this town,” Bond continued.

“Having a national and global name associated with this club is important for our plans too going forward through their shirt sponsorship and things like that and we are all hoping to carry that forward again into next year.”

Emma Crewe, Marketing Manager for Ireland for Fyffes, is based in Dundalk and was present at the announcement in Oriel Park and she echoed these views.

“We are obviously very pleased about this deal and we are happy to be linked with such a football club and hope that their success will continue into next year because we are a company who are very supportive of sport in the local area and we again look forward to working closely together,” she said.
