Bernard also entered the Men’s +35yrs 75kg where he met an English fighter in the final, going on to receive a silver title.

Sean O’Hare entered the Boy 15-17yrs 70kg and he could not be faulted in his final, beating his opponent 20-8 to be crowned world champion in the section.

Christian Farrelly earned two silver titles in the Boys 13-15yrs 50kg semi and light contact sections while Martina Goss earned a bronze medal in the Ladies 55kg division and a silver medal in the Ladies +35yrs 60kg.

Two other club members who fought extremely well were Patrick Farrelly and Catherine Pearson, both of whom made it to the quarter-finals in their respective sections.
