Dynamites players going Dutch
as they compete in Maastricht

After a successful tournament in Spain this summer where Liby Dynamites won the Santa Susanna Cup, five of their players will assist the Donegal and Derry Basketball League teams the Maastricht Basketball Tournament in Holland next weekend.

After a successful tournament in Spain this summer where Liby Dynamites won the Santa Susanna Cup, five of their players will assist the Donegal and Derry Basketball League teams the Maastricht Basketball Tournament in Holland next weekend.

Playing at U16 level will be Shauna Kearney and Sophie Brennan with Irish international Nadine Rice and the versatile Sinead O’Hagan playing at U18 level.

Having gained experience with the Dynamites in Barcelona last summer and in the Santa Susanna tournament this year, Rice also represented her country against England in the Celtic Slam two weeks ago in the National Basketball Arena .

Point guard Justin Rosagaran will represent the boys. Rosagaran an up and coming talent with the potential to achieve great things at this game and is one of the best talents to come out of the North East Region in years .

The team will compete against teams from Canada, Israel and Holland and the local players took part in a training session last weekend in Letterkenny where they fitted in very well with their new team-mates.

Everybody at Liby Dynamites and the North East Basketball League wish them every success playing in Holland.
