Dundalk Karate students were on their travels again recently taking the opportunity to train with a number of other clubs in Tullamore where coaches from the Ireland Karate Federation Commission (IKFC) put everyone through a rigorous four hour training session.

With Dundalk Karate being a member of the IKFC, Sensei Mary Marcus could not let this fantastic opportunity go without taking as many students as possible to train with some of Ireland’s best Kata (form) and Kumite (fighting) coaches.

Upcoming on Dundalk Karate’s schedule is an open Kumite training session with Sensei Neil O’Sullivan which is being held on Thursday, June 19 in the Redeemer Family Resource Centre.

To date Dundalk Karate have held a number of training sessions with Sensei Neil and each time the students who have participated have not only learnt something new but have thoroughly enjoyed being put through extensive Kumite drills. If anyone would like any further information on this training session with Sensei Neil O’Sullivan or on Dundalk Karate why not contact Sensei Mary Marcus via email at karatequeen@live.com or on 0863531625.
