With the 2012/2013 school year coming to an end, Sensei Mary Marcus invited all members and parents to attend an end of year demonstration recently at the Bay Estate School Karate Club.

With members of the Bay Estate School Karate Club as young as four years of age and as old as 12.

Each member had an opportunity to shine and to show their parents how much they had learnt since joining the club.

Sensei Mary Marcus who trains with the Ireland Wadokai Karate-Do Remnei (IWKR) and also within Ireland Karate Federation Commission (IKFC) was thrilled at the huge success of this demonstration, as many members had an opportunity to invite their parents to join in the fun and to either try punching or kicking a pad or to attempt a kick called Tobigeri (Jumping Kick).

Mary has also started a women’s only Karate Class in the Blackrock Community Centre on Mondays from 7-8pm and Thursdays from 9:30am to 10:30am.

If you would like any further information on IWKR, IKFC or any of Sensei Mary’s classes, why not contact her on 086-353 1625.
