Kan mix it with the best of the best

12 students from the local Cobra Kan martial arts club recently competed in the Best of the Best competition held in Dublin.

12 students from the local Cobra Kan martial arts club recently competed in the Best of the Best competition held in Dublin.

Juniors Leah O’Shaughnessy and Erin O’Connell competed in the same devision: the yellow/orange girls section and dominated, meeting in the final were Leah secured the gold and Erin earned the silver title.

Tiernan Weldon competed in the white/orange boys section and his preformance in this section could not be faulted as he secured a bronze title.

Rebecca Lamb Fegan competed in the green/purple girls section, deservingly gaining the gold title in the final. Peter Lamb Fegan entered the boys green/purple devision, fighting superbly to take home the gold.

Sean O’Hare competed in the boys green/purple division were he stormed his way to the final, winning the silver medal.

Seniors

On the senior side of things, Megan Rogers fought in the womens blackbelt section. Megan fought in the final with a huge level of skill and experience, gaining the silver title in an extremely tough section.

Patrick Mulligan faught in the mens brownbelt advance section and he made his way to the final to take home the gold.

Philip Corway competed in the mens blackbelt advance division and used his years of experience to fight extremely well in the section and secure gold in the final. Martina Goss entered the green/purple section and won the bronze title.

Gerard Conlon and Yan Fitzgerald both competed in the mens green/purple section. Yan fought with huge heart and skill while Gerard made his way to the final were he returned home with the gold medal.
