With just three weeks remaining of the autumn and winter event schedule at Ravensdale Lodge thoughts are already turning to the 2014 show season and Mackin’s Horse Feeds are first to sign up as show sponsors again for the New Year.
While Niall Connolly of Ravensdale Lodge was collecting horse feed at Mackins’ Newry base, Linda Mackin from the feed firm shouted over to put the meal company’s name down as annual sponsors of the winter and spring indoor arena eventing league. If only everything was a simple!
Ravensdale Lodge are sticking with the tried and trusted formula that has worked so well throughout the year for the first run of shows which commence Thursday January 23 with two weeks of indoor show jumping training shows from 11am.
Friday January 24 sees the first of the new run of indoor horse and pony training leagues which will start at their usual time of 5.30pm with classes for all from X poles to 1.10m.
Indoor arena eventing takes centre stage once again on Saturday January 25 with a new run of indoor dressage set for Sunday January 26.
As always there will be the usual array of prizes for each competition and the full line up of shows and sponsors will be listed in these pages at a later date.
Competitions continue as normal this week with the Tonino Lamborghini sponsored SJI registered horse league set for Thursday November 28 with all modified classes from 80cm (M) to 1.30m (M) commencing at 11am.
Horse and pony training takes centre stage on Friday with the Botanica International sponsored indoor league which has classes from X poles to 1.10m and a start time of 5.30pm. Saturday it is the turn of indoor arena eventing once again and Horse First sponsor this league which commences at 3pm with the 70cm class which is followed by the 85cm class at 4pm and the 1m class at 5pm.
December is issued in with the O’Reilly’s Wholesalers Newry indoor dressage league which continues on Sunday December 1 from 2pm with all weekly classes on the Ravensdale Lodge website. Further details can be obtained from the office.
