With each week growing more competitive, there was lots of great eight-ball pool on offer on Friday night last at the Sportsman’s in Dundalk.

After qualifying, the final six players played a round robin best of five - Results Group A: Aidan Kinsella 2pts, Patrick McArdle 1pt, Jimmy McArdle 0pts; Result Group B: Barry Keane 2pts, JP Toner 1pt, Patrick Rice 0pts.

This made two great semi finals. The first was between Barry Keane and Patrick McArdle. Barry left it late when trailing 2-0 but a great six ball clearance helped him come back to win 3-2

In the other semi-final between Aidan Kinsella and JP Toner, Aidan quickly made sure he would make it to the final by winning 3-1.

Aidan showed some great class in the final as usual but Barry started the match just as fast and looked confident on the table.

Kinsella and Barry exchanged snookers to ensure they won each rack but Kinsella proved to be the smarter player and made it three tournament wins in a row by winning 4-1.
