A 30 year old man arrested as part of a garda operation targetting cannabis grow houses in five counties, pleaded guilty at Dundalk Circuit Court last week.

A 30 year old man arrested as part of a garda operation targetting cannabis grow houses in five counties, pleaded guilty at Dundalk Circuit Court last week.

Speaking through a Chinese/Mandarin interpreter last Tuesday, Sun Song Wang of no fixed abode admitted having cannabis for sale or supply, at Curraghbeg Industrial Estate, Ardee on the 24th of October last where the drug had a market value of €13,000 or more.

At the request of the Defence, Judge Michael O’Shea adjourned sentencing until the next sitting of the court the eighth of October.

He also directed that a report be prepared by the governor of the prison where the accused is on remand.
