A bench warrant was issued last week for a 23 year old man accused of being involved in the theft of €1,200 worth of heating oil from the Louth GAA Centre of Excellence.

Nigel Farrell with an address at Castle View, Tallanstown is charged with committing the alleged offence at Darver on the sixth of December last.

A Defence barrister told the court last Wednesday that she had been asked by a colleague to stand-in in the case and she understood that disclosure of statements had not been received by the Defence.

Judge Hamill issued the arrest warrant after it emerged the accused was not present.
