Big rally next Sunday

The annual Knockbridge Vintage Day and Working Rally is fast approaching and the Knockbridge Vintage Club and local folk are busy getting ready for what promises to be the biggest day yet. It takes place on Sunday 11 September in Knockbridge. The charity fundraising day kicks off at 1pm with ample parking available close by.

The annual Knockbridge Vintage Day and Working Rally is fast approaching and the Knockbridge Vintage Club and local folk are busy getting ready for what promises to be the biggest day yet. It takes place on Sunday 11 September in Knockbridge. The charity fundraising day kicks off at 1pm with ample parking available close by.

The list of highlights on the day is endless and indeed all ages will be catered for and a very enjoyable day out is guaranteed. There will be an extensive display of vintage tractors, cars and bicycles in the field as well as vintage threshing and a working area which will include binders, reapers and vintage combines to name but a few for all the machinery enthusiasts. All money goes to local charities.

Throughout the day there will be numerous demonstrations taking place such as cookery, flower arranging, art and crafts and much much more.

There will be live entertainment provided by local talented musicians and singers including Declan Callan and all musical tastes will be catered for. Sheep racing will be one of the many attractions on the day following its tremendous success over the past few years. There are several other exciting attractions including a Tug of War competition between the local men and ladies, a vintage army display and a Dog Show which always attracts a large number of entrants. The Vintage Club will also host their first Vintage Fashion Show.
