ANIMAL lovers in the Dundalk area are being invited by the The Louth Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Louth SPCA) to have their four-legged friends blessed.

The Louth SPCA is set to hold its second animal blessing ceremony at Bellurgan Park, Bellurgan on Sunday, September 11 from 2pm-5pm.

Following on from its first successful animal blessing event two years ago, this year’s ceremony will see each pet individually blessed. They will also receive a certificate.

Several other animal-based activities will be happening throughout the day including a dog show, free pet advice corner and dog grooming.

There will also be a farmers’ market promoting locally sourced products, car boot sale (e10 entry), bouncy castle, face painting plus lots more.

According to Louth SPCA, September 11 promises to be a “great day out for all the family”. With an admission charge of just e5 per family, attendees can enjoy a fun day out and raise vital funding to support the work of Louth SPCA.
