Mock cycle raises e1,400 for SOSAD

A MAN who lost his mother to suicide helped to raise e1,400 by organising a charity mock cycle, which was held in aid of a Dundalk-based suicide support group.

A MAN who lost his mother to suicide helped to raise e1,400 by organising a charity mock cycle, which was held in aid of a Dundalk-based suicide support group.

Brian Kelly - whose mother, Frances, died by suicide two years ago - was delighted with the support received from the event at Marshes Shopping Centre, Dundalk on Saturday, May 7.

SOSAD Dundalk would like people living in the Dundalk area to know that they are not alone and that there is help out there for anyone who feels suicidal or if they know anyone who has suffered or been affected by suicide.

A 140km ‘Cycle around Meath’ is being held in aid of SOSAD (Save Our Sons and Daughters) on Saturday, June 18. The event is kicking off at 10am in the Boyne Valley Inn, Slane.
