After a hilarious opening night, Alan Gernon’s Carrick Laughs returns to Vanity on Sunday 29th January, headlined by another star of Irish comedy - Karl Spain.

Best known for RTE shows such as “Karl Spain Wants a Woman” and “Karl Spain Wants to Rock”, he is also a regular on “The Panel”.

The Sunday Times have called him “achingly funny” while Hot Press declared “the future of Irish comedy is in safe hands” with him.

He won the RTE Award for best new act in 2000, looked for, and found, and is still with the same woman from RTE’s Karl Spain Wants a Woman and went on tour with heavy metal tribute bands for the TV show, Karl Spain wants to Rock 2 and recently toured the UK with Ed Byrne.

A fantastic support line-up includes local man Michael Downey, a previous finalist in BBC, Channel 4 and RTE new comedy awards.

Kieran Lawless, who headlines all over Ireland and the UK and is a previous winner of Ireland’s premiere comedy competition, “Bulmer’s Nuthin’ Butt Funny” award completes a hilarious line-up.

Louth Village man Alan Gernon returns as resident MC.
