New charges have been brought against one of two men charged in connection with a raid on a cannabis grow house in Dundalk

Sergei Malasicevas (43) and Tomas Petkevicius (31) both with an address at Brookwood Lawns, Dundalk had already been charged with having cannabis for sale or supply and unlawful possession of the drug, at Seatown Place on the 28th of November last year.

Last Wednesrday, Sergei Malasicevas was further charged with cultivating cannabis plants without a licence and having the drug for sale or supply, where it has a market value of €13,000.

The court heard he made no reply when the charge was put to him after caution.

Judge Flann Brennan adjourned the case until the 12th of September and extended time for service of a book of evidence.
