THE founder of Starmaker Stage School, Amanda Lane, which draws its pupils from Ardee and Carrick, has put together a new musical production. It’s called The Glee Experience, and is made up of a cast of 15.
The show is a tribute to the TV smash hit Glee, and has singing, dancing and drama. They have already performed at The Olympia Theatre Dublin, and The Royal Castlebar and are now travelling around theatres in Louth. “I am also bringing in our seniors from Starmaker as extra dancers within the show so there’s great excitement for all,” said Amanda. “The children and cast have worked so hard and really deserve all the support people can possibly give them.
“We are performing in The Drogheda Arts Centre 4 February with two shows and at An Tain Theatre Dundalk on 5 February with shows at 2pm and 6pm. “The school is going very well. A lot of our students have appeared on TV adverts and we reached the finals of The All Ireland Variety Show in Dublin 2011.”
THE Starmaker Stage School for young people has been going strong in Ardee for a number of years now..
The students performed in the Helix with the Michael Jackson, Man In The Mirror Show that travelled all around Ireland and the UK.
They reached the final of the All-Ireland Variety Show and took runner-up spot.
