Louth’s world-leading Viking archaeology finds are to be the focus of a major two-day conference featuring top experts from both Ireland and Britain.

The two-day conference, entitled Raiders, Traders and Innovators, takes place in Dundalk on Friday Saturday and Sunday, 21, 22 and 23 October. It will feature the story behind the discovery and ultimate identification of the Linn Duachaill site in Annagassan. Speakers at the conference will include Dr Eamonn Kelly; Dr Howard Clark; Linzi Simpson; Dr Gareth Williams, British Museum; Dr John Sheehan, UCC and Dr Mark Clinton.

A €45 ticket is also available which comprises the two-day conference, lunch on each day, the guided tour of Linn Duachaill plus attendance at a Gala Banquet on Saturday, October 22 in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
