Video: Gerry Adams on Lagan Brick and Diageo disputes

Waiting for Video...

Sinn Fein TD for Louth, Gerry Adams speaks to the Dundalk Democrat’s Sheila Reilly about the end of the redundancy dispute between management and staff at Lagan Brick, and hopes for a similar outcome in the stand-off between Diageo and its staff at Dundalk and Kilkenny.

The workers are now expected to receive their redundancy payments within the next six weeks, after staging a round-the-clock protest outside the Kingscourt-based plant which lasted over 280 days.

Deputy Adams also called for a resolution to the impasse between Diageo and workers at its plants in Dundalk and Kilkenny.
