Vantastival Nominated for Irish Festival Awards

For the third year running Bellurgan Park’s Vantastival has been nominated for the Irish Festival Awards. This year, for the first time, the voting is weighted according to festival capacity, giving the smaller independent festivals a fighting chance of winning

The Irish Festival Awards were set up in 2007 to honour the organisers and people behind the scenes that make every Irish Summer such an eclectic celebration of music, art and performance. Vantastival has been shortlisted in six categories: ‘Best Small Festival’, ‘Best line up’, ‘Family Festival Award’, ‘Social Responsibility’, ‘Best Service’ and even ‘Best Toilets’.

Early bird tickets for Vantastival 2013 will go on sale this Friday 1st February and will remain on sale for 3 weeks only. Early bird tickets cost just w70 for the full weekend with 3 nights camping. Tickets will be on sale from the website at vantastival.com/tickets.

Vantastival is a family-friendly festival which takes place over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. Three stages of live music and entertainment host up to 70 acts over the course of the weekend, while a range of activities focusing on the campervan lifestyle bring an extra dimension to the only festival of its kind in Ireland.

Other attractions include gourmet food stalls, festival traders, scheduled kids’ activities, documentary cinema, art, craft and theatre, ensuring that Vantastival has something for everyone, with or without a campervan! For more information visit www.vantastival.com
