Heritage Centre along with special guests Manifesto will launch their debut album tomorrow night in the Spirit Store.
The local band saw the release of their debut album “Alright, check it out”. last year which was met with positive reviews and packed shows.
However the Spirit Store was closed for renovations at the time of the albums release, so the band decided to delay their Spirit Store album launch until the Store was up and running.
This weekend the band, who hail from Dundalk and Dublin, will be offering a special treat and by way of an apology, everyone who pays in will receive a free album download code.
In the space of one year Heritage Centre have cemented their place as one of the country’s most important emerging acts.
Described as the “bastard sons of Blur and Weezer” by Hotpress magazine, the band have carved out a reputation for their powerful live shows with The Fly magazine stating.
“If you have any interest in professionally executed indie-rock then go see this band. We insist”.
Joining them will be local band Manifesto who have also been making a name for themselves these days.
The band have played support to major acts such as Duke Special, Bipolar Empire and Thin Lizzy, performing across the country including the main stage at the Volvo Ocean Race 2012.
They also performed for President Michael D.Higgins at the launch of Dundalk Youth Centre and were highly praised for their performance.
Manifesto comprise of Jamie Cummins, Chris Morgan, Andrew Cronin and Damian Hughes.
The gig is on this Friday, February 22nd and doors open at 8pm.
