Three arrested over murder of Dundalk man Seamus McMahon
THREE people have been arrested in Drogheda by Gardaí investigating the murder of Seamus McMahon in Dundalk nearly two years ago.
Two men in their twenties and a woman in her teens were arrested when Gardaí swooped on the three earlier this morning.
They are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Drogheda and Dundalk Garda stations.
McMahon (41) was shot dead at Bothar Croinn, Dundalk on 21 March 2010 in what it is suspected to have been a personal matter. Gardaí believe a gang of three people had stalked McMahon in the lead up to his death, before shooting him dead with a shotgun.
