THE lighting of the Christmas tree, unveiling of the new big screen on the TCCM building and official opening of Dundalk Square on Ice takes place this Friday 7 December.
Dundalk Town Council Cathaoirleach, Jennifer Green will take to the ice on Friday evening for the switching on of the town centre Christmas Tree, the unveiling of the new and permanent big screen on the TCCM building and the official opening of Dundalk Square on ice.
Large crowds are expected for the events which begin at 5.30pm plus there will be refreshments including mince pies while stocks last.
Members of the Irish ice hockey team will take to the rink and will be followed by a fashion show on ice featuring both ladies and gents fashion available in local stockists.
Dundalk Town Council has reduced pay parking in the town centre this December with 70c per hour rates for on street parking.
Dundalk Square on Ice will remain open until 6 January - closed Christmas Day.
An hour of ice skating costs €10 for children and €12 for Adults with a special family rate of €35.
Dedicated sessions for school groups, sports clubs etc at special discounted rates of €7.

Five per cent of Dundalk Square on Ice ticket sales will be going to the charity SoSad.
