“This is a great way of keeping your hard earned money in the area,” said traders PRO Martina Browne, “and in doing so, help save local jobs.

“These Vouchers are a great way of keeping your hard earned money in Ardee. Over €16,000 was spent in our town last year using the vouchers which are available from

Bartle Landy Financial Services.

“They can be given as a bonus or present for workers, staff, family and friends.”

The traders got behind Operation Santy last Friday evening when the lights were switched on in the town.

They would like to thank Ardee Concert Band, Ruth Kelly’s Children’s Choir, Seamus Farrelly, Brian Farrelly for the sound, John O’Brien and Adrian Landy for all the sweets. Santa McCoy and his helper Noel Murphy and of course the seven elves. Ardee Town Council and Brian Walsh for the generous use of the Castle. Ardee Garda Siochana, the fire service who brought Santa, Order of Malta, Civil Defence, and Meridian Security. PICTURES PAGE 11.
