‘No Bother’ book launch

Writers who attended Ferdia Mac Anna’s creative writing workshops in DkIT will present a collection of poems, flash fictions, short stories in the Whitaker Theatre at DkIT on March 19, at 6pm.

The book is called ‘No Bother’ and is a collection created by writers as part of the creative writing workshops Ferdia facilitates in DkIT.

Ferdia was appointed as DkIT’s first ever Writer-in-Residence in November 2012, and commenced on a series of creative writing workshops open to everyone.

“We expected that we would have a class of around twelve or thirteen people”, Ferdia told the paper, “by the end of November over forty people had enrolled.

“We had to split the workshops across two days to accommodate everyone.

“It was an exhilarating rollercoaster ride as well as a truly stimulating and creative experience.

“It was also brilliant fun.”

Everyone is welcome to come along to the launch to hear some seriously talented new writers read from their work.

‘No Bother’ will be on sale and all proceeds will go towards funding for the upcoming Dundalk Book Festival.

The book, costs 10 euro, and will be available from local booksellers, Kindle and on CreateSpace,
