Morga to play at Dundalk Gaol

Mórga (meaning Majestic) are a talented four-piece traditional music high energy ensemble, based on the great bands of the 1970’s.

They are based around the well-known tradition of fiddle and accordion duet, with backing provided by the bodhran and Greek bouzouki. Add the banjo to this mix and you have a fearsome cocktail!
The band formed in 2008 and released their debut CD the following year to widespread acclaim. After a couple years of playing around Europe they took a break to recover in 2011. Now they’re back with the addition of the legendary David Munnelly (who hails from Belmullet) on accordion in place of founder-member Barry Brady
This is a fantastic opportunity to hear some of the most dynamic musicians currently playing the traditional scene.
The are: David Munnelly (Accordion) from Mayo, now living in Utreacht Holland
Jonas Fromseier (Bouzouki / Bodhran ) from Denmark now based in Galway
Danny Diamond (Fiddle) from Dublin
Dominic Keogh  (Bodhrán) Mayo
Adm €10.  Doors open 7.30pm.  Tickets and further information available from 042 9328887 | info@orielcentre.ie | www.orielcentre.ie
