Linda launches Skin Spa

Blackrock entrepreneur Linda Stewart and her business partner Nuala King have recently revolutionised beauty treatments in Dundalk forever with the launch of Mizu, Dundalk's first ever Skin Spa last week. Situated in a beautifully restored three story town house on Jocelyn Street, Dundalk it is the first of its kind within a 50 mile radius and uniquely combines a skin spa with a gourmet café, offering rejuvenation and healthy fare all under one roof.

The building is bright and luxurious having been tastefully renovated and restored through the combined talents of Linda's brothers Alan and John Stuart, interior design company Intec Design and local garden designer Paul Martin.

The Spa specialises in non invasive skin treatments, employs two full time nurses as well as the services of medical doctors and according to Nuala offers technology previously only available in places like the Blackrock Clinic. Mizu is offering a whole range of cosmetic procedures including Laser treatments, Botox, facial fillers, chemical peels and teeth whitening.

Linda who is probably best known as proprietor of Mizu the Sanctuary, began her career with Peter Marks hair salon in Dundalk after leaving school, working her way up to management level as well as becoming one of the top stylists in the salon. When Peter Mark decided to open its first salon in Belfast, Linda was asked to manage it, this she did successfully for three years and during this time also helped to open further salons in Lisburn and Belfast. She went on to manage Peter Marks in Newry before coming back to her native town to set up a joint venture hair salon.

After six years Linda decided to expand into the area of beauty pampering and body health while still incorporating hair creation, hence Mizu the Sanctuary was born.

She first had the idea for expanding Mizu to include the new Skin Spa three years ago when she teamed up with her business partner Nuala King who was developing an idea for a healthy eating coffee shop and both ventures have now combined into a fantastic offering all under the one roof.

Nuala has always harboured a passion for good food and wine and to run a business in the local area. This coupled with her extensive experience in public relations, advertising and marketing led her to believe that the timing was right to bring her experience to the Mizu brand.

Nuala is confident that there is a strong market for this venture, "local women will no longer have to travel to Dublin or Belfast to have access to all of the most up to date skin treatments, but rather we expect that Mizu will attract clients to Dundalk from all over the Northeast."

She then added "If you look after your skin and body, you don't need to spend lots of money on designer labels as anything you wear will look fab! And we have it all here under one roof with highly trained specialist staff in both the Cafe and Skin Spa, where discreetness and personal attention goes without saying."
