Knockbridge Tidy Towns will be hosting the inaugural Soap Box Derby in aid of Knockbridge Tidy Towns, Sunday October 21st.

There are still places available in all the races on the day, but demand is high for each race.

This will be a fun filled day for parents and adults alike with trade stalls, BBQ, childrens entertainment and lots of races going on throughout the day.

The Red Bull Wings team will be also be there to energize all the spectators as everyone goes down that hill and there will also be a few more surprises for spectators on the day.

There will also be a cash prize for the overall winner judging on the most creative soapbox and the fastest to get down the hill.

Registration for the show will start 30 minutes before each race.

The first race will be at 12 noon and is for children between 4-6 years on trikes, bikes and tractors. The cost is 5 euro per entry.

The second race will 1pm and is for kids aged 6-10 on trikes and bikes. The cost is 5 euro per entry.

At 2pm it’ll be time to roll out the soapboxes, ages 11-14 will be racing from 2-3pm and ages 14-17 from 3-4pm. The cost per team is 25 euro.

Finally from 4-5pm the adults will get their chance to have some fun on their creative soapboxes. The cost per team is 40 euro.

Spectators viewing from the designated area will be charged 3 euro or a family ticket for two adults and two children will cost 10 euro.

So come along, bring your family and it will be a fun filled day.

All proceeds will go towards Knockbridge Tidy Towns.
