Help find Duke and Daisy

editorial image

Dundalk couple, Siobhan and Damian Walsh have been left devastated by the disappearance of their two beloved Springer Spaniels, Daisy and Duke, who went missing from the Faughart area on Saturday, February 2nd.

Siobhan told the Democrat that the dogs always go to work with her husband Damian who is a mechanic and has a garage in Faughart.

“Damian realised something was wrong when he was calling and whistling for them and they never came.”

The couple have done everything in their power to get their pets home. They have been searching the country every day, putting up posters, calling door to door in the local area and they have reported both dogs stolen to the Gardai.

“We have searched high and low and there has not been one single lead, nobody has seen them. It’s like they vanished off the face of the earth.”

Siobhan has set up a Facebook page called ‘Missing Duke and Daisy’ to help spread the word around the country.

“We have gotten great support from people. The page has over 1800 likes so far and we have been contacted by people in the UK, America, The Netherlands and Swedan who are all helping spread the word.

“Duke and Daisy are part of our family, it may sound corny but they are like our children. We just want them back home and are offering a reward for their safe return.”

If anyone has any information you can contact the couple on 086 4006258 or 086 2692416.

Both dogs are brown and white and had on black collars with ID tags on. They are both micro-chipped.
