Dundalk musician Jim Corr and Today FM DJ Ray D'Arcy blast each other live on air over swine flu vaccine conspiracy

It was the mother of all radio battles as Corrs musician Jim Corr and Today FM DJ Ray D'Arcy blasted each live on air other over the issue of Swine Flu vaccines.

D'Arcy, on his morning show blasted Corr for his views on Swine Flu, saying that the Corrs guitarist was "irresponsible" for suggesting that the spread of the dangerous virus was planned.

However, Corr, who writes alternative news articles and blogs for his website, www.jimcorr.com, was listening to the show and stunned D'Arcy at first when he rang into the show himself.

The war of words soon began as Jim said: "I'll tell you what is irresponsible Ray, it's irresponsible to misquote people as you did."

The singer continued to question D'Arcy. "Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 20 years, you would know that there have been huge controversy over vaccines.

"I've done my research, I've looked into some of the ingredients and I'll tell you, I'm a little bit worried about some of the ingredients being used in these vaccines."

D'Arcy, fighting his corner said that Jim was not a "medical scientist" or a "doctor".

He continued: "I've listened to medical scientists and doctors again and again who support this vaccine."

The Today FM host then grilled Jim as to why would they (the government) supply harmful vaccines to people, before adding: "I think we need to get down to this level with you."

Jim replied: "Don't patronise, that's very patronising." He then told D'Arcy that in future, he should not be misquoted.

"Just be careful not to misquote me in the future."

The row came only days after Corr's appearance on RTE's new Saturday night entertainment talk show with Brendan O'Connor.

In a controversial segment, Corr told O'Connor that the Haitian earthquake may have been caused by a weapon that overheated.
