Drumconrath GFC launch their new Strictly Come Dancing competition

editorial image

Twenty-four dancers have volunteered their time to help raise funds for the club to go towards pitch development and an all-weather pitch.

And the amount of time and effort, and hard work and fun, that they have all put into this event, is really and truly amazing.
The wonderful evening began with the dancers arriving by limousine to a champagne reception.

Each contestant was interviewed by MC for the night, Brendan Cummins.

Gavin Quigley, choreographer and dance teacher for the event, then handed the all important envelope to the MC, who announced the dance partners. There were loud cheers and lots of applause from the 300 plus audience who attended on the night.
The rehearsals for the strictly come dancing started in August.

They have all been working hard for two nights a week, but will now take up three nights a week, until the main event is staged in the Fairways Hotel on 24 November.

So how is that for dedication.
The Strictly Come Dancing committee have thanked the generosity of their main sponsors, Ladybird Childcare and Dermot Muldoon.

They also thanked and praised all those taking part for their commitment and generosity.

Without this great commitment this very important fundraiser would never have got off the ground.

Now everyone is looking forward to the build-up to the grand final in November - just six weeks away.

It’s an event not to be missed.

So give all the support you can.
