DkIT links up with US and Aussie students for business project
DUNDALK Institute of Technology will team up with US and Australian partners as the European partner on a Global Student Project.
Three sets of students from the US, Ireland and Australia, will work on a given business project.
The teams will also engage in a study abroad experience. This will include classes on government, banking, and the economy in each country.
The USA and Australian partners have engaged in this student project for four years and were very keen to get DkIT on-board.
DkIT invited colleagues from the USA and Australia to Dundalk this month to explore the possibility of undertaking a joint real-world marketing project.
Mr Denis Cummins President of DkIT and Mr Cathal Kearney Head of School of Business and Humanities, and Mr Sean McEntee Manager of the Incubation Centre, met their new US and Australian partners in Dundalk.
The visitors were very impressed by what Sean had to say in terms of the success he has had in encouraging the Enterprise Culture throughout the DkIT campus, and the links that DkIT has with industry in this region and beyond.
DkIT was then formally invited to be the new European partner.
