Darren raises over 1000 euro for PND Ireland

The Dundalk Democrat’s very own Darren Rafferty held a fundraiser for Postnatal Depression Ireland in the Marshes Shopping Centre on Saturday, September 8.

Darren held a bucket collection the whole day and managed to raise over 1,000 euro for PND Ireland.

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed on the day as we raised over 1000 euro for a worthy cause and I would also like top say a big thank you to the Marshes for all their help and support.”

Darren is planning on running the Dublin Marathon, to raise money for Postnatal Depression Ireland on the 29th of October.

This will be the third marathon that Darren has ran and it is for a very worthy cause.

Postnatal Depression Ireland was initially called the Post Natal Distress Support Group andwas founded in Cork, Ireland in 1992.

It aims to provide support, help and friendship to those suffering from Post Natal Depression.

20 years on, and they are the only support group that provides a completely free service to sufferers of PND in Ireland. The number for their support line is 021 4922083. It is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 2pm.
