Country duo return to Readypenny

One of the more popular bands on the country dancing circuit at the moment, Thomas Maguire and Fhiona Ennis, will be the big attraction at the Ready Penny Inn, near Ardee on Saturday 2nd March.

The popular country music duetting partners and their band will return to the popular bar and restaurant for a night of great entertainment.

The country duo have just released their very first DVD entitled ‘Solid As A Rock’ which has been filmed both on location and in concert in Ireland.

The DVD includes Thomas and Fhiona’s popular hits such as ‘Solid As A Rock’, ‘Promised To John’, ‘We’re Still Together’ & ‘Come Back To Ireland’.

As well as 16 music videos, the DVD also includes an in depth interview with Thomas and Fhiona hosted by Eamon McPhilomey from Mid-West Radio.

Thomas who hails from Co. Fermanagh and Fhiona from Co. Wexford are in the middle of a very busy schedule and 2012 has been a very successful year in terms of awards which has seen them voted “Vocal Duo Of The Year” at the Hot Country Television Awards, “Duo Of The Year” at The Farmer’s Journal Irish Country Sound Awards and “Country and Irish Duo Of The Year 2012” at The Tipp. FM Country Music Awards.

Fhiona comes from a family of six children and Country music has been instilled into her from a very early age resulting in her genuine love for it and a dream to one day record her own album.

Thomas is one of a family of ten and from an early age he showed a keen interest in music and one of his first great achievements was being announced overall winner, at the Lady Of The Lake Festival talent competition held in his native Fermanagh.
