Cast of 60 take to Tain Theatre stage for The Pirate Queen

The cast of S.O.N.G will take to the stage this week in their production of Boubil and Schonberg’s ‘The Pirate Queen’ in An Tain Theatre.

The musical will be performed in An Tain Theatre from tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20 until Saturday, March 23. All shows begin at 8pm.

The production, which is directed by Terese Dunne, tells the story of Grainne O’Malley, who was the most notorious sea captain in Ireland.

A heroine who led an extraordinary life as a pirate, chieftain, lover and mother in 16th Century Ireland.

Featuring a cast of 60 performers and S.O.N.G’s award winning production team including assistant director Rosemary Winkless, musical director Patrick Dunne and choreographer Carol Leavy Joyce, who worked for eight years with the world-famous Riverdance team as Irish Dance Director.
