Campaign to get cash in local ATMs

Since the removal of the Bank of Ireland external ATM from Blackrock late last year, the cash facilities both in the village and in the surrounding areas are still falling far short of meeting local needs.

Regularly finding their local cash machines completely depleted of cash, Blackrock people now have the opportunity of taking a stand and report the problem to local web design company Jascom and it seems that they are sick of having to travel to Dundalk to gain access to their money or worse still having to make unnecessary purchases in order to avail of cash back facilities.

If, like many others, you are finding local machines out of order then you too can do something about it by registering your complaint with Jascom and the results of the survey will eventually be used as “evidence of demand” to attract a new facility to the village.

The local web design firm, who originally spearheaded the petition to bring back the Bank of Ireland ATM last year, has offered the following solution.

“Members of the public can email us every time they find a local machine out of order and we will record the date, the time and machine. That way over time we will be able to establish a true picture of the service in Blackrock.”

The three machines involved in the study are situated at Centra in Blackrock, Flannagan's Garage on the Dublin Road and the Topaz Garage also on the Dublin Road. Should you find any of these three facilities out of order, just send a quick email to Jason at info@blackrockvillage.ie.
