Bobby McCarthy returns to the Spirit Store for Christmas

On Saturday 22nd December, local troubadour Bobby McCarthy kicks off the Christmas celebrations in the Spirit Store.

A stalwart of Dundalk’s music scene, Bobby is an old favourite in this long established and greatly respected venue.

Closed for refurbishment since mid November, the newly renovated Spirit Store will now boost state of the art bar facilities and a live music arena unrivalled in the North East.

Bobby has been packing them in for some time in the Spirit Store with his renditions of classic and obscure songs from his favourite artists.

Expect a party atmosphere, a few wisecracks and a few new numbers from the local troubador.

For several years, tickets for his Christmas show have been in serious demand and his patrons haven’t been disappointed to date.

In his inimitable style, Bobby pays homage to the musical greats from the last 50 years, putting his own twist on both classic tracks and obscure gems from artists as diametrically opposed as Bruce Springsteen and Britney Spears.

Given the time of year, it is expected that Chris Rea and Bing Crosby will also get similar treatment.

Also performing on the night will be guests Sean Fee and Martin McEnteggart who promise to keep the crowd entertained as always.

Tickets are 12 euro and are now available on www.spiritstore.ie.

Given that this show has been a sell out for the last 3 years, you’d want to get your skates on and book yours now to avoid disappointment.
