Baby joy as Peter becomes grandad
While government officials were celebrating two years in power last Wednesday, local Fine Gael TD Peter Fitzpatrick and his wife Ann welcomed their first grandchild into the world.
Peter’s son Steven became a proud father after his partner Maria Cotter gave birth to baby Jaden Steven Cotter Fitzpatrick at 6.30pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
“Myself and my wife Ann is delighted to be grandparents,” said Peter while speaking to The Dundalk Democrat, “It’s our first grandchild and we are really looking forward to our new roles.
“We will be pushing a buggy around Dundalk soon.”
Meanwhile, mum Maria, from Blackrock, is doing well and baby Jaden is a healthy and happy baby.
With a new baby, comes a new generation and baby Jaden could be a future recruit for the Clan Na Gael and the Louth GAA team.
“With all going well, Jaden will be a GAA man and will wear the Clans jersey and represent Louth in year’s to come,” Peter added.
