BLACKROCK Artist Adrienne Finnerty has put her skills to good use by producing a magnificent Egg for the Jack and Jill Foundations Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt which is the largest ever held in Ireland is very unusual as the eggs will not be of the traditional chocolate variety but rather highly collectible, handcrafted works of art.
One of a select group of established artists invited to take part Adrienne has produced a unique one-off egg entitled ‘All as one’. Adrienne’s colourful patchwork themed egg, represents her own unique style and will be one of 100 bespoke eggs to be concealed at undisclosed, secret locations from today, Pancake Tuesday, where they will remain hidden for 40 days and 40 nights.
Members of the public are invited to search for the eggs in a bid to win a great family prize of a pair diamond pendant earrings, a visit to a chocolate factory and a years’ supply of chocolate from Lily O’Briens. The eggs will then go up for auction with all proceeds going to the Jack and Jill Foundation. Bids can for your favourite egg can be placed as early as February 12th with the final bids taken at a live auction in the Four Seasons Hotel.
Other well-known artists taking part in the event are Rasher, John Rocha, Felim Egan and Guggi as well as radio personality Joe Duffy and members of Irish band the Strypes.
